World’s first independent watch with inverted movement under $20k

Unusual Xeric Watch
Unusual Xeric Invertor Watch with inverted movement

As implied by the name, the Xeric Invertor has its automatic winding rotor displayed on the top of the watch rather than underneath making for a distinctly unique appearance and an unusual way of displaying the time and allowing you to see the time and automatic rotor in the same glance.

Having the movement on top also lets the wearer appreciate the intricacies of the mechanical movement, which is derived from a Miyota 9000.

A new proprietary module was made from the Miyota 9000 -Citizen’s most prestigious movement – this module makes the watch run backwards so that it could be inverted and tell the correct time.

This movement was chosen thanks to its high beat rate of 28,800 beats per hour, twenty four jewels and a forty two hour power reserve. With a thickness of just 3.9mm, it’s an excellent, slim automatic movement that compares favourably with the Swiss gold standard – the ETA 2824.

Comprehensive testing takes place during the assembly process which guarantee’s the same chronometric standards as the original movement of -10/+30 sec per day whilst also maintaining reliability and serviceability of the Miyota Calibre 9000 and yet creating an unusual way to display time.

The hands and rotor are Super-Luminova coated, and the Invertor Automatic will be limited to only 999 pieces per color. Each watch will be individually numbered and priced at $699 and available from Xeric
