In 2000 Ventura invented the worlds first automatic digital (lcd) watch.
Now they have just received the Red Dot design award “best of the best” for the Ventura Sparc MGS watch.
The Sparc MGS uses their automatic digital display which is driven by a micro-generator.
Wrist movement activates a rotary mass which sends energy to the micro-generator, the electricity produced then powers “an optoelectronic time-module”.
This year there were 4,515 entries for the Red Dot Awards out of which 60 products received the award “best of the best”. These are considered by the jury to be the best industrial designs submitted regardless of their purpose.
