To celebrate their 30th anniversary Jacob & Co. and have released the unusual Twin Turbo Twin Triple Axis Tourbillon which combines two triple-axis tourbillons and a minute repeater in a sports style case, a rarity and very unconventional for a Grande Complication!
With no less than 572 components, to describe it as complicated is an understatement and some of this intricate architecture can be viewed through the dial itself since its made of sapphire crystal.
The Jacob & Co Twin Turbo mechanism is housed in a uniquely shaped case equipped with 63 components which measures an imposing 57.30 x 51mm with a thickness of 16.90mm and is made from titanium and carbon fiber for lightness.
The seconds graduation is indicated using a Red Neoralithe inner ring carries and the hour markers are engraved directly on the dial. The hands are skeletonized, and tipped with SuperLuminova. The Minute Repeater marks the passing of time every ten minutes.
The transparent case back reveals an abstract architecture of triangles in openwork metal.
