At first you could be forgiven for thinking that reading the time is not an easy task with this Projects Twirler watch.
It appears to be a bit disconcerting but although its a quirky design its not that difficult to read. Basically the hands of the Projects Twirler have moved outward from the center of the dial and angled at 30 °. The fundamental principal remains true, the reading of the large and small hands against the indexes, both hands turn “clockwise” to align perfectly with the index markers which have been angled to further add to the overall effect.
From the promotional copy for the watch it is intended to be “reminding us that time is a floating concept which is not easy to grasp and is continually affected by change and motion.” Im not sure most people will have have such deep philosophical thoughts when gazing at the dial.
The Twirler watch is unisex (dial diameter 40 mm) and is made of stainless steel. The one piece band is made of silicone and the Twirler watch is also available in a black version (pictured at the bottom).
