As a tribute to the original Bulova Accutron Spaceview tuning fork watch released 50 years ago Bulova (now owned by Citizen) has released this limited anniversary edition of 1000 watches.
You can clearly see the watches electronic heritage from the skeleton view of the circuit board style dial and the double copper coils apparent at the top.
This showcases the unique tuning fork movement, which were precursors to quartz movements.
Back in their heyday these watches were considered the height of modernity and technology, now they are quite retro in appearance.
The size and design closely resemble the original “Spaceview”, the only difference being that the anniversary editions come with a domed Sapphire crystal, alligator strap and hand-assembled movement.
